"In Time Geography Dominique Pifarély, the architect of sounds lays down as way of thread, beacons : some he has just discovered,  others he used before and from turns and steps backwards, from progress to breakthroughs, he designs a way which impervious to straight structures, unyielding to circular patterns, rephrases the starting point instead of simply getting back to it.

Musically these beacons take the form of motifs, of rhythmical melodic elements that could clearly appear as ostinatos but could also seep into the tutti. All the more so when they mix, overlap and blend together to create new fertile fragments from which the first components do not fully fade away."

L'ensemble Dédales de Dominique Pifarély présente une musique élaborée comme une architecture, dans laquelle le dédale apparait comme un labyrinthe intérieur où chemine la musique, de combinaisons en sous-groupes, de micros-événements en tutti, guidée par les timbres, attirée par les couleurs, dans des couloirs de verre où se confondent reflets et transparences. Le compositeur-violoniste en parle mieux que tous : "La musique comme lieu d'exploration de notre rapport au monde n'a de labyrinthique éventuellement, que le chemin personnel qu'on y trace. Mais le labyrinthe, de prison est aussi devenu un jeu, et chercher son chemin, un impératif...". La critique spécialisée ne s'y est pas trompée, Franck Bergerot écrit dans Jazz Magazine : "On retrouve dans Géographie du temps le caractère organique de Pifarély, dans ce dernier opus porté à un nouveau degré d'aboutissement".
